About US

        DJ Vibe and DJ Spicy were born and raised in Haiti. DJ Vibe (Pictured on Top Right) was given the stage's name as DJ Menmenm. They both met in New York City in 2003.

    DJ Vibe started learning to DJ from a very young age. He used to use 2 walkman (CD Player) and a receiver with speakers connected as a DJ set to make people dance "Au Son du Compas". With this set and his genre, he's done Graduations, Birthdays, ....  and a lot more. As time goes by, he decided to not just keep playing music like everybody else but to play it like a pro. This decision led him to get acquainted to DJ Jack (Jacques Sampeur Jr.) from Radio Antilles International who was a Radio DJ and Haiti's Scratch DJ Master. That's when he started learning the truth behind the art. He learned how to scratch using turntables with vinyl and the techniques of the industry. During that journey, he made friends with one the best DJ in Haiti (Soundesign - DJ Bertin). He wanted to follow their foot steps. DJ Jack saw something unique about him. He baptized him and gave him the DJ Vibe's name. Since then, he has been vibrating every floor that he has played on, which will then turn into building later when he arrives to the states. As soon as he arrives to New York, he became friend with DJ Unik, DJ Kiki (DJ Jack's Uncle), and DJ Spicy.

    DJ Spicy (Pictured on Mid Right) started DJing in New York years prior to being friend with DJ Vibe. He has been underground since then. He kept himself private by doing local and private parties for just friends and family. He never wanted to make a business out of it. He has thought and kept people to keep their feet moving on the dance floor. This how he started being recognized in the community. They both have kept each other real close and  followed each others' genre of mixing and cutting all kinds of music. Since they both discovered that their style was different from each other, a combination of two great different styles would perfectly match. In addition to that, they both mix differently and perfectly. Doing a combination doesn't involve two of the same things.  It would not be called "combination" anyway.

Having both decided to join forces, they formed a splendid combination (MIX O MAX). mixOmax would totally translate in English as "Mixing to the Maximum". If broken down, mixing stays as is in English, O short for "Au" French word for "to the", then max as is in English which is short for maximum. They added the French word "Au" as of a proof of their nationality and that they represent and play for Haitians all day and everyday.
